The Wicker Man is the funniest damn movie ever. I think the director must have done it on purpose, because at no point could anyone think this movie is scary. On another note, Blizzard made me change the name of my Blood Elf Male Paladin. I had named him Sugartits, and I got all the way to level 22 before they got upset. | | Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 | | 2:59 pm |

ALA was awesome, and I can't express what a great time I had. I met lots of new people, tried out lots of new blue drank, and had way more fun than I can possibly say in one post. I have a story to tell for everyone I met if asked though. Oh, and today I didn't have enough cash for a Spicy Chicken Melt, so I scrounged in my car for more than 15 minutes finding enough change to buy one. It's THAT GOOD. If you live in San Diego, and you have not had this, I will force you to have one within a month. | | Thursday, November 22nd, 2007 | | 8:45 pm |
Thanksgiving at Mimi's Cafe = HELL ON EARTH. I was on Desserts. All desserts were cut and made ready by me. We had Cheap Pumpking Pie, Chocolate Mousse, and Bread Pudding covered in whiskey sauce. The pumpkin pies were seriously nasty. Working in a restaurant really ruins your view of the industry. There aren't magical french chefs making your meals back there. Fingers are touching your food without gloves all the time, the area is dirty, and everything speaks spanish in the kitchen, everyTHING, even the rats. Even so, in my five hour shift, I think I'm coming out with a good chunk of cash, and time went by quickly, so I'm happy. Plus, I didn't have to spend thanksgiving with my redneck relatives. Highlight of the night: Doors close at 7 on thanksgiving. Lady comes at 8 on thanksgiving, starts screaming about the manager how they drove hours and hours to watch their son's soccer game, and now they want a family dinner together, so why can't we open for her. Manager shuts them down. Oh, and free pizza, rolled tacos, turkey dinners, and I'm wired on three Monsters as well. Current Music: NAAST - Mauvais Garcon | | Thursday, July 5th, 2007 | | 11:40 pm |

Wandering through the streets of New York in the rain
Last call sounded about 2:30, I finally wandered out of the bar about 30 minutes later. The bartender, who was less than sober, had 'misplaced' the credit card I had put my tab on. After getting frisked by the bouncers, the aging chinese woman finally found it and I was able to sign the receipt and leave. Walking outside I started walking towards the subway. The small flock of Taxis that gather around such institutions around last call and circle like vultures had left. The lifebeat of the city continued as it hibernated. I stumbled towards the subway in a straight line as the even hemogeny of the cityscape unfolded around me. Turn the corner I encountered the Stereotypically 30's Gangster Dragon of New York (tm). He leaned against the entrance to the alley, flipping a coin in a long, taloned paw as his tale flicked back and forth anxiously. I looked up at him and asked "What are you doing here at this time of night?" Regarding me with those wide, predatory eyes he noted "Waiting for you." I found something comforting in that statement, as if the creatures of the mythicaly world were orbiting me, waiting on my next action. I looked up at him, the confused look on my face obviously begging the question "why?" He looked down the alley, watching his back, perhaps in fear of his rivals from New Jersey. He seemed to ponder my face for a moment and said "Something insubstantial. When you get to the next corner, cross the street without looking." I pondered this for a moment. Looking down at my feet I said "Sure, I guess." I continued down the street, wondering what would happen. The obvious answer seemed to be that I would get hit by a car and killed. That seemed sinister though, surely he would've just killed me outright had that been his wish. Even if it did happen, what would I be leaving behind? My job at the restaurant? Deadening my active brain with video games and booze night after night and suppressing the crushing pain of modern life? Coming up on the corner, I decided that whatever the Dragon had planned, surely it couldn't be that bad. Coming up on the crosswalk, I made the fateful decision to close my eyes and proceed onward. I heard the screeching of brakes, and waited for a collision that didn't come, even as I felt the rush of air on my legs. Opening my eyes, I was confronted with a 1984 Acura, driven by an attractive woman. Opening her door, she yelled "What are you doing you asshole?!" I replied calmly "I'm just trying to get home." The look of anger passed, and she laughed. It was a light, musical laugh, something my life had been missing. She said "Oh, I'll give you a ride then." And that was how it started.
